What You Agree to When You Use This Tool

By using the HTTP checker you accept these terms. They exist because even a small free tool needs its expectations written down.

No warranty on verdicts or timings

The report shows what this tool received in one set of requests from its own server: the status codes, redirect hops, headers and timings as they arrived at that moment, from that network. A server may answer differently to other visitors, from other regions, with other cookies, or a second later. Header explanations are general descriptions, not a review of your configuration, and the caching, content and security findings are opinions with reasons attached. The tool is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind, and its operator isn't liable for losses that follow from using it.

Your responsibilities

Use the tool lawfully. Check pages you are allowed to inspect; a public page is public, but the responsibility for what you do with the findings stays with you. Don't abuse, overload or automate the fetch endpoint beyond normal interactive use, and don't use this service to probe systems you don't own or administer. A bulk check fetches up to 25 URLs at once from the sites you name; keep that in mind before pasting someone else's list.

Caps and fair use

A single check follows at most ten redirect hops and reads at most 2 MB per hop; a bulk check takes 25 URLs, six at a time, within a time budget of about a minute. Those limits are what keeps the tool free and the origin shared with other sites usable; they are not negotiable per user, and scripting around them counts as abuse under the paragraph above.
